Service Overview
Soft Tech Serv provides ISO/IEC 17025-accredited, NIST-traceable pipette calibration for single- and multi-channel air-displacement pipettes, repeating and electronic pipettes, bottle-top dispensers, diluters, and other liquid-handling instruments. Accurate liquid handling underpins data integrity across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical, and research laboratories — a pipette that drifts out of tolerance can quietly compromise assay results, batch records, and regulatory submissions.
What we calibrate
Our technicians calibrate the full range of liquid-handling devices, including single- and multi-channel pipettes, repeating and electronic pipettes, bottle-top dispensers, pipette aids, diluters, and laboratory syringes, across all major manufacturers and models.
Accredited, traceable method
Calibrations are performed gravimetrically in accordance with recognized industry practice (ISO 8655), using balances and environmental references traceable to NIST. Each calibration records as-found and as-left performance, evaluates accuracy (systematic error) and precision (random error) at multiple volumes across the working range, and reports the associated measurement uncertainty.
Every service concludes with a detailed ISO 17025 calibration certificate documenting the reference standards used, environmental conditions, measured results against specified tolerances, NIST traceability, and a clear pass/fail determination — the documentation your quality system needs for GxP, GMP, and FDA audits.
Why regular pipette calibration matters
Pipette accuracy degrades over time from mechanical wear, seal deterioration, exposure to aggressive reagents, and everyday handling. Routine calibration detects drift before it affects results, supports compliance with USP and FDA expectations, and provides legally defensible documentation. Calibration intervals are typically risk-based; many laboratories calibrate every 6 to 12 months, with more frequent service for high-use or critical applications.
Flexible service delivery
Choose the option that minimizes downtime: on-site calibration at your facility, local pick-up and delivery, or nationwide mail-in service. All options deliver the same ISO 17025-accredited quality and NIST-traceable certificates.
